On the schedule we have APBA Stock/Mod/Jr. Nationals July 12-18, and to finish it off the 5th Annual Wake the Lake will host the APBA OPC Nationals Aug 6-8.
“We’re excited to have FloRacing a part of Champions Park Lake this year, they have been on the cutting edge of broadcasting underserved Motorsports categories and it’s an honor for Champions Park Lake to be their first step into Powerboat Racing” stated Dana Potts promoter of Champions Park Lake.
“In addition, my team and I would like to thank the OPC Commission for awarding us the OPC Nationals, we’re honored to take this on. To have two category National Championships in one year is a big milestone for our venue. We’re going into our 5th year and with all the development and upgrades to Champions Park coming we couldn’t be more excited about the future growth of the boat racing community in Central Ohio.” Said Dana Potts.
“We’ve been looking at boat racing to add to our portfolio for a few years,” stated Adam Armstrong, Director at Flo Sports, “with Champions Park Lake’s development of a state of the art digital timing system with their partner Finish Timing and their unique venue’s ability to capture video along with all the Championships and their Champions Park Lake Studio broadcasts, we felt this would be great entry into the sport of boat racing and an opportunity to partner and help grow powerboat racing.”
