FAQ's - For the Champions Park Lake Boat Race Fan

FAQ - Wake the Lake 6 - Aug 27/28
Is it a ticketed event?

Why yes. General Admission is $15 per day or $25 for the weekend. Kids 12 and under are FREE. We also sell tailgate spots and camping spots for $100 for the weekend.

What can I bring?

You can bring your own cooler, chairs, blankets, food and drink. In general admission we do not allow you to put up pop up tents but you are allowed chairs. Tailgate your allowed to bring pop up tents, grills, games and anything suitable for tailgating fun.

Is there any seating for General Admission?

We do have some bleachers positioned near the beach start of the race, but we encourage people to bring folding chairs.

Is there any Food Vendors?

Yes we'll have a variety of food vendors that will feed your appetite. We'll also have Wake the Lake event shirts and merchandise onsite to purchase and have drivers autograph.

Are the Boat Racing Pits open to public?

Yes, it's FREE to visit the teams. We encourage you to go talk with teams and drivers in the pits and learn more about the boats and get a closer look. We promise they won't bite and they're very friendly.

Are we allowed to have FUN?

Absolutely, we encourage and love it. We love to see bag games, tailgate neighbors high fiving, fans debating (friendly) who has the fastest boat, and enjoying some of the best boat racing in North America.

Are we allowed open fire pits?

No, we don't want to have to use our boat racing roostertails to dowse your open flame fire pit.

How do I keep up with times and see where everyone finished?

We will be doing live timing through www.finishtiming.com and we also have 3,000 ft of Speaker system where Kay-Dub Myers Brewer and Jeff Doan will be announcing and keeping you up to date on all the action.
